It’s never too early to educate stakeholders on NG9-1-1. NENA 2012 conference attendees will have the opportunity to hear the latest and the greatest in NG9-1-1 public education campaigns at the session, Beginning an NG9-1-1 Educational Campaign: It’s Never too Early!, on Tuesday, June 12 at 10:00AM in Room 201A.
L.R. Kimball’s, Sherri Griffith Powell, Chair of the NENA NG9-1-1 Public Education Committee, will give a status update on the Committee’s progress toward identifying target audiences for NG9-1-1 public education, developing key messages for each audience and creating an educational plan for each audience. Christy Williams of North Central Texas Council of Governments will provide information on a successful grassroots campaign that is preparing a community for NG9-1-1 and educating decision makers on the need and importance of NG9-1-1. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback on the Committees work and suggestions for cost effective ways to educate the public on NG9-1-1.
